Pigmented lesions

Lentigo is a small, sharply circumscribed, pigmented macule surrounded by normal-appearing skin. Histologic findings may include hyperplasia of the epidermis and increased pigmentation of the basal layer. Lentigines may evolve slowly over years, or they may be eruptive and appear rather suddenly.

Freckles, liver spots, brown spot treatments are very popular in Florida.

Vascular lesions

Many vascular conditions can be treated with Nd:YAG (1064nm) lasers, including rosacea, angiomas, telangiectasias and others. The 1064nm laser wavelength is well suited for these applications because it selectively targets hemoglobin in the affected tissue without damaging the surrounding skin. The LightPod Neo – thanks to it’s innovative MicroPulse-1064™ technology – takes this application to a new level of comfort and safety, delivering up to 13,000 watts of power within a safe pulse duration.

Telangiectasias (spider veins), rosacea, angiomas, hemangiomas, and other vascular treatments can be performed with used Neo lasers in Florida.

Tattoo

Dark color tattoos can be reduced and removed by the Neo - a 1064 YAG laser. Multiple treatments (10-12 sessions) can be required to achieve the best results. Our laser allows for the least painful experience for the patient.

Nail fungal infections

The LightPod Neo laser, an Nd:YAG 1064nm laser, is unlike other lasers of the same wavelength as it uniquely delivers very high fluences in a shorter pulse duration – enabling a more rapid heating of the water in the tissue of the nail bed for faster fungal destruction, while also dramatically reducing treatment pain as compared to longer pulsed Nd:YAG lasers.

The Neo is unmatched in its ability to deliver these higher fluences in larger spot sizes than prior 1064nm laser technologies. For example, the Neo can generate as high as 225 joules/cm2 of fluence on a 2mm spot, or up to 41 joules/cm2 on a 5mm spot, without the need for cooling during treatment. This simultaneously allows for higher efficacy and quicker treatment times; an average toenail or fingernail will require less than 30 seconds to treat, and will generally need to be treated 1-2 times with treatment intervals of approximately 3 weeks.

Onychomycosis is a common disorder of the nails. Treatment modalities include oral and topical antifungals, surgical treatment or a combination of these therapies. Cure rates remain low with relatively high relapse rates seen after successful treatment. But a new advance in laser technology has proven to deliver higher levels of clinical efficacy, without the side effects of drugs or the treatment pain of older laser technologies.
